Buzz, buzz, buzz. I'm busier than a bee. Productive writing the past several days. Getting back into researching several story ideas based on characters from earlier works I've created. Still thinking my way through various magnetic, electromagnetic, thermal, and gravity theories on creating portals in time and space. My work notes build on each other, lately, so that's a good thing. I may not include a lot of my research into the actual stories--BUT if I can understand the universe I want to create (or write within), the more believable the world will be. Besides, I love doing this anyway!!

Back from the weekend-blitz, Comic-Con 2004 and "7-Habits" class held Monday and Tuesday. Wonderful information.

What a week! Completed all the work I needed to do before taking a few days off. Spent most of the day just hanging around and doing a little cloths shopping. Found some great specials!

I’m making some notes on people I want to meet at the Con, mostly names I’ve come across lately in reading blogs and interviews. Here are a few of the names: Keith Griffen, Jai Nitz, Kelly Sue Deconnick, Peter Rose, and Laurenn McCubbin. Of course I also hope to see ADS’r Anne and Colleen Doran. Got a lot scheduled to do at the Con, but I’m looking forward to having fun!

Work still piled to be accomplished before I take a few days off this next week. Saw Pirate of the Caribbean, Thursday evening. Awesome movie. Loved Johnny Depp. I’m even considering seeing it again!

Spoke with Sis, earlier today. Poor Guilis is having problems again. I feel for him deeply, but he needs to decide things for himself.

Got a lot of work to do today...I think it's a Loreena McKennitt music day, with the headphones on. In memory of the "Old Ways!"

Spent a lot of the weekend re-watching the Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring, extended edition Appendixes.
"There are moments in out lives,
there are moments in a day, when
we seem to see beyond the usual.
Such are the moments of our great-
est happiness. Such are the moments
of our greatest wisdom. If one could
but recall his vision by some sort of
sign. It was in this hope that the
arts were invented. Sign-posts on
the way to what may be. Sign-posts
towards greater knowledge."

Another day and, MAN, the bookcases were the perfect choice. Pat myself on the back. Ugh, now to rearranging the the "Think Tank" room. No, no. this one goes there. That one goes here!

Saturday, July 05, 2003

I re-thought the bookcase idea and ended up purchasing some taller, five-shelves, wooden storage shelving and put them together this afternoon. The door I was using for the table, now fits on one shelf on each unit. So now I have double duty book shelves AND my hobby table. Also set up my drawing table at another spot in the room! Looks great.
"To draw a tree, to pay such close attention to every aspect of a tree, is an act of reverence not only toward the tree, and toward the earth itself, but also our human connection to it. This is one of the magical things about drawing—it gives us almost visionary moments of connectedness."

Whirlwind week, but a short work week! :-) Just hanging out on a Friday, mostly cleaning and making plans to do a little carpentry work soon. Need to build some book shelves--either modular or hand-made and get my books out of their boxes. Setting up my drawing table soon too. Getting ready for the last day of presentations. Nervous? Like, yeaha! Do bears live in the woods? Shaa. I'll feel better later...
